test machine, tried running solaris 10 but it didn't like the hardware. bought a sun ultra 5 instead. not really sure what to do with it, but i still had enough hardware gathering dust since i upgraded my workstation to an amd athlon 64 x2 and moved my old workstation hardware to chimera. i think i'll dual-boot some linux distros as well, not sure which ones. ubuntu seems to be 'the in thing' at the moment, but it is a bit of a linux-for-dummys distro...
i recently scored a set of rails which makes it a lot easier to test/change the hardware. the rails did need a bit of modding, but as they were free who am i to complain?
